HOMEWORK:
· Setup your blog on Blogger (or Wordpress)
· Setup their Delicious account (DEMO)
· ASSIGNMENT: Bring in and present 2 examples of what we spoke about today
· What do you think are GOOD new media experiences?
· Bring in examples that best reflect the power of new media and its global reach
· Guide us through this new media path and explain its significance
· Did it address a problem, opportunity or need?
· How you present is up to you
· You will be graded on how well you present this narrative


Class 2 (September 18, 2010)
· Assignment #1: Each student presents their findings

· The User Experience in New Media
· The Concept/Metaphor in New Media
· Lateral + Vertical Thinking
· Mechanics of a problem
· Creation of Narrative/Storytelling
· Storyboard techniques
· Animation techniques - creating comps using acrobat
· In-class exercises
· Introduce project (portfolio project)
· HOMEWORK: Each student is to bring samples that represent the body of their design portfolios. Ready to present to the class.


Class 3 (September 18, 2010)
· Each student presents their FRUIT project
· Introduce main project (portfolio project)
· Explain the expectations for the final project

Class 4 (September 25, 2010)
· Students are to present their body of creative work and themselves as creatives
· Conceptualization during class time in groups
· IDEATION sprints to develop concepts for their sites


Class 5 (October 2, 2010)


Class 6 (October 9, 2010)
· Presentations
· Concluding statements
· Review of key topics
